Kilian Melloy of EDGE Magazine has done an in-depth interview with me about Kelland.  I seldom talk about the process of writing and Kilian asked some amazing questions. You can read the article right here, but be advised that there may be some minor spoilers.

My contract with Torquere Press for Mahape a ale Wala'au has come to an end and I have opted not to renew.  I've taken the piece off the market for the time being, but it shall return-- in one form or another--in the semi-near future. My thanks to all who bought it, read it, reviewed it, pimped it, loved it or hated it.

Mahalo nui loa to all who read Me Ka Hau'oli Makahiki Hou over the past two weeks.  Simply by reading my little story and telling me you read it, we have managed to raise $100 for Ka 'Ohana O' Kalaupapa names memorial project.  I am incredibly grateful to each and every one of you, not only for your kind comments about the story, but for helping me send some funds to a great organization!  And so, as promised, the story gets put away for a while. It will be back one day, although I'm not quite sure when.  Thanks again everybody. You're the best.

Happy New Year one and all. Here's hoping that 2009 is a spectacular year for everyone. In the spirit of the new year, I have written a little piece entitled Me Ka Hau'oli Makahiki Hou, which in Hawaiian means "And a Happy New Year." It is sort of a prequel to my novellette Mahape a ale Wala'au, but only in the sense that it features Kristopher from that story. It isn't my finest work ever, but it was written with a lot of love and if you read it (it won't cost you a cent), you can help me support a really worthy organization. So click on the link and find out more! It will only be up on the site for a week or so, so read it while it is here. Or check out the lovely review by TT Thomas over at The Daily Horse or the gracious review by suryaofvulcan at Live Journal.
