Well, as the old year draws to a close, I have been very blessed by some lovely people with respect to Mahape a ale Wala'au. Most recently, the very kind Jesse Wave has given Mahape a great review and five out of five strs. You can read Jesse's full review right HERE.

As if that were not enough, Book Utopia Mom has not only chosen Mahape as her Favorite Short Story of 2008, but also as her Favorite Erotic Story of 2008 and as her top pick in Uniquely Pleasurable's Year-end roundup.

But wait! It gets even better. The amazing writer Ann Somerville also rated Mahape as her top pick in Uniquely Pleasurable's Year-end roundup.

Not a bad way to end the year! Thank you to one and all!

P.S.: If you haven't read Mahape yet, act fast...as Disney would say, starting February 17, 2009, the story goes back into the vault for some much needed rest.

Lots of new stuff on the Kelland front. First, I have a new website up and running. It is a bit bare bones at the moment, but you should stop by and take a look at Who is Kelland?

Want a little teaser? I have two (count 'em, two!) You Tube trailers up and running. Check out the English version or try the one in Vietnamese. And don't forget to rate them or -- if you're really intrigued -- post the links or embed them into your blogs and I'll do the Snoopy dance just for you when we meet.

And the official press release is out. You can read the HTML version here or click to download the PDF version right over here.

North American rights to my novel Kelland have been picked up by Casperian Books. Kelland will be published in trade paperback in the Fall of 2009! Stay tuned for more developments.

My free fiction page has been updated to include a piece of un-sold fiction, The Other White Meat. I think you'll understand why it's unsold once you read it, but I still have a soft spot for it -- warts and all -- since it is my one and only attempt at anything remotely resembling humor. It's horror (well, just barely) and a riff on an urban legend from where I grew up. WARNINGS: minor gore and icky het romance

Also, since Chick Flicks seems to have disappeared, I have changed The Fifties link to a page on my site. So for those who wanted to read it and couldn't find it, it is there again. Keep in mind, no one dies in this piece, but it is a sad melodrama inspired by Douglas Sirk's films, so you're unlikely to find a HEA.
