"... like all good writing, [Mahape a ale Wala‘au] transcends its genre. It’s erotic but it has a real heart..."

Aloha.  My name is Kilikopela, but all of my friends call me Kristopher and I hope you will call me that as well.  I live on the island of O‘ahu, in the beautiful state of Hawai‘i.  I meet many interesting people as they traverse the streets of Waikīkī, or as they bake themselves on the shore of Queen’s Surf, a quiet strip of sand that lay nestled in the shadow of Lē‘ahi.  Perhaps the most interesting, however, was a dear man who had traveled here one Christmas all the way from Japan.  His name is Toshi.  Of course, that is not his real name, but it is the one I shall use out of respect.

Toshi and I spent a wonderful day together, found a special connection in one another.  I think of him often and I wish that two of us had had more time together.  In that time, I would have taken his hand in mine and I would have shown him my islands: the places I grew up, the valleys and streams that made me strong, the land of my father and my grandfather and his father before him.  Perhaps, one night as he sits in front of his computer, Toshi will think of me and will stumble upon this site.  I hope he will smile when he does. Perhaps, in this small way, I can show him the beauty of our Kingdom, the land of Aloha.  All he -- and you, my friend -- need do, is take my hand and pick an island and I will tell you what I know to be true.
